Directed by Martin Gooch and an advisory council of sector stakeholders, the Centre assists in enhancing the competitiveness of Ontario and Canada's agricultural and agri-products sector, and promotes adoption of value chain business approaches.

Centre objectives include

• increasing industry awareness of value chain management practices
• coordinating research and analysis from a systems-based perspective, working with the College of Management and Economics at the University of Guelph
• disseminating the results of research completed at the Centre to producers, processors, associations and government agencies
